Travel insurance for Schengen VISA: our policies
Europ Assistance offers two different travel insurance policies for the Schengen Area: Schengen and Schengen Plus.
That’s why we’re confident that we have the right type of cover for you, whether you’re travelling on your own, with your family or on business. Regardless of the policy you choose, you can rest assured that you will have access to 24-hour trilingual support (in English, French and Spanish), first-rate medical assistance and repatriation in the event of your death. All our policies are fully compliant with European Union regulations and valid throughout the Schengen zone. What’s more, you don’t need to undergo pre-screening or a medical exam to apply, and we’ll even refund your money if your Schengen visa application is rejected.
Schengen
The Schengen policy is Europ Assistance’s standard solution, with cover starting from as little as [€18]. If you take out this policy, you’ll be covered throughout the entire Schengen zone for expenses of up to €30,000 in relation to illness or injury, and for repatriation in the event of your death.
Schengen Plus
The Schengen Plus policy is perfect for travelers who want the peace of mind of having our most comprehensive cover. In addition to all the benefits available to travelers with the Schengen policy, Schengen Plus policyholders can extend their stay if necessary, claim for expenses related to accommodation and the return journey for fellow holidaymakers, and have minor travelers escorted back to their country of origin. Furthermore, the total cover amount for illness or injury doubles from €30,000 to €60,000 under this policy, and trips to Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland, the UK and Romania are also included.
Prices for the Schengen Plus policy start from just €3, but it’s important to remember that the exact cost will depend on the length of your trip and the number of people traveling with you. As always, we recommend reading the fine print to make sure that you’ll be covered for all of your planned activities.
